NORMAN ARTHUR SAMUEL 1920 - 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Norman Arthur Samuel on February 22, 2000 at York County Hospital, Newmarket, ON. Norman was dear husband to Grace, loving father to Virginia Greening (Gary) and Ian Samuel (Beverley Walsh), and grandfather to Shelley Greening, Shawn Greening (Donna), and Pia Samuel, great-grandfather to Christopher and Brendan Johnson, and Sarah, Tyler and Linnea Greening. Norman is survived by other relatives in Canada and England. Norman was a veteran of the Second World War, R.A.F. He worked for many years in the newspaper business, for the Winnipeg Tribune, Edmonton Journal, Toronto Telegram and the Globe and Mail. Norman was a gentleman and friend to all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service, but donations in Normans memory can be sent to York County Hospital Foundation, 596 Davis Dr., Newmarket, ON L3Y 2P9.
